About Us
Area 42 Games is an indie studio based out of Edmonton, Canada. Our members are a diverse group of young developers who work together to create experimental games which represent ourselves and our experiences.
About Our Games
All of our games hold a piece of who we are and how we've lived our lives. Our first project as Area 42 is The Meaning of Auri, a language deciphering game; however, we have many other ideas brewing. Regardless of who you are, we hope you feel represented in one of our games!
Current Projects
Our debut game, The Meaning of Auri, follows an Auri Field Researcher from the planet Auriga as they land in an enchanted forest full of creatures who speak an unknown language. Interact with the inhabitants of the forest and learn their language to complete your research–and maybe learn a thing or two about what Auri really means.
