A fast-paced strategy game where space racers attempt to win the Rocket Race 5000! Orbit: Rocket Race 5000 is a card/board game which is played on a high quality 8 fold board. The mechanics of Orbit are unique, they are quick to learn but difficult to master, making it a game that can be played casually or hardcore (anyone up for a tournament?). The object of Orbit is simple: get rid of all the cards in your hand! To start the game all players select a challenge coin and toss it onto the Orbit board; closest to the center decides who goes first. That person decides who goes next and then places their coin pointing in their direction. Note: Each coin had a ship or another artwork that denotes either clockwise or counter clockwise direction. The first player plays two cards (the benefit of going first is two cards played, subsequent turns play one card only). The other players retain their coin to be used to change direction one time during that game if they wish. Cards are played by matching colors on the sides and tops. Matching two like colors or wilds allows you to choose an opponent who will then have to draw a card; matching three colors allows you to take another turn. The 120 card Orbit deck has 96 cards with wilds on them and 24 special cards. There are three special cards, eight of each: · The robot (cleverly named Orbot) repairs your ship allowing you to take another turn. · The gun card allows you to choose a player to draw two cards! · The satellite card allows you to look at another player’s hand, take a card and play it face down on the Orbit mat. When a card is played face down the direction of play reverses. The object of the game is to get rid of all your cards. The more turns you take, and the more cards you can make your opponents draw, will put you at the lead of the race! There are more great strategies involved with this game but we don’t want to give all of the secrets away; you will have to find a demo of Orbit: Rocket Race 5000 to find out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!
